Ksitigarbha Memorial Dharma Service & Sangha Offering Registration
Auspicious greetings to all devotees and Dharma friends:
Since the establishment of Fo Guang Shan, we have received continuous supports from our devotees, allowed Venerables to practice Buddhism and spread Dharma without obstructions. The annual Sangha Day is approaching, and it is one of the most important Buddhist Festival. It is a celebration in honor of the Sangha, or the Buddhist community. According to the Buddhist tradition, one may cultivate tremendous merits by making offerings to the Sangha, and practice filial piety by dedicating the merits to their parents and ancestors, and to all the sentient beings. The best way to make offerings to the Triple Gem and support the monastery is to make offerings to the monastic community rather than to just one person or a small number of people; to make offerings for the entire year rather than for only one meal; to make offering consistently rather than just for the present.
Also, as the temple adhere to the traditional virtue of advocating filial piety, there will be chanting of “Original Vows of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra” on August 11th, August 18th, and August 25th, to dedicate the merits to all Dharma protectors and families. Everyone is welcome to join the service at the Fo Guang Buddhist Temple Boston.
May the Triple Gem bless you and your family!
